We are thrilled to announce that Michelle Guthrie has joined our Board, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passionate commitment to actively challenge systemic oppression.
Central to her work is the belief in dignity of choice as a pathway to empowerment for Aboriginal people and emphasises the importance of cultural intelligence in decision-making. A strategic thinker, she focuses on programs that foster change and strengthen kinship and family networks.
Michelle’s genuine connection to our mission stems from her lived, cultural, and academic experiences. We are excited to have Michelle on board and look forward to the insights and leadership she will bring to our organisation.
A message from Michelle:
“Yaama Fams members, partners and collaborators.
I am pleased to be joining the dynamic Board at Fams where I know the determination to advocate and invest in early intervention for families remains the primary, undiverted focus. I fully align with the Fams’ mission ‘to advocate for improved policies and resources for early intervention and prevention NGOs that support NSW children, families, and their communities.’ I look forward to being an active, productive member of the Board and have accepted the offer looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to the strategic decision-making process of the organisation.”
