Family Preservation

Fams is committed to ensuring Family Preservation Services feels supported and their voices heard.

In May 23, we submitted a comprehensive ministerial briefing to Minister Washington, summarising key points regarding the critical role of non-governmental organisations in delivering Family Preservation Services (FPS) in NSW. The briefing highlighted the urgent need for clarity, consistency, and certainty in policy settings to mitigate the current uncertainties surrounding the recommissioning of the Family Preservation Program. You can read the brief here.

In August 23, Fams hosted a Family Preservation Network conversation, where over 90 representatives from across NSW gathered to commence planning for the sector support needs leading to the 2025 recommissioning.
