There’s a CAT in the Wrap: New Resources & our Practice Group

There’s a CAT in the Wrap: New Resources & our Practice Group

There’s lots happening with the Common Assessment Tool (CAT), so here’s a quick round-up:

  • CAT now available in 12 languages.

To support inclusive and culturally safe practice, both the Family Self-assessment and Practitioner Joint-assessment templates have been translated into 12 community languages.

These resources aim to help families engage more confidently in early intervention planning and support practitioners in removing language barriers. You can find the translated templates on the TEI and FCS webpages.

  • EOIs now open for the CAT Working Group

We’re reconvening the CAT Working Group to continue shaping how the tool is used across the sector. The first meeting will take place on 24 July 2025.If you’re committed to improving assessment practice and supporting diverse communities, we’d love to hear from you.

EOIs close 25 June 2025. You can resubmit your EOI here. For questions about the Working Group, contact Daniel at [email protected].
