Practice governance is the way an organisation supports and improves the quality of practice, aiming for better outcomes for people and their communities.
In partnership with the Parenting Research Centre and ACWA, we worked alongside a group of dedicated organisations leading this project: Family Support Newcastle, The Canopy Inc, Tamworth Family Support Service Ltd, Blue Mountains Family Support Service Inc (Thrive Services), Junaya Family Development Services, and New England Family Support Service Incorporated.
Our goal was to design a guide specifically for community-based child and family services that could work for organisations of all sizes. Together, we are ensuring that community organisations possess the necessary governance mechanisms to effectively support their operations.
