During Child Protection Week, we acknowledged that all conversations, whether with a child and caregiver, between friends, neighbors or amongst colleagues, makes an impact.
A conversation could change a life. This week, we’re proud to support R U OK? To make asking, ‘are you OK?’ a part our daily conversations and to remind everyone to connections – big and small – are powerful.
You don’t need to be an expert to ask someone, “Are you OK?” Aim for regular conversations about life’s ups and downs to build trust. This way, when someone is struggling, they’ll know you care and will feel at ease opening up to you.
It’s also beneficial to select the right time and place for these meaningful discussions:
- During breaks from work or study
- While exercising together
- When connecting or participating in online activities
Ask R U OK? because a conversation could change a life.
