Investment into DV early intervention and prevention welcome and needed!

Fams welcomes the NSW Government’s extra $15.9 million for domestic violence early intervention under the Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence National Partnership Agreement.

The early intervention and prevention sector play an essential role in keeping children and families safe from harm. The increase in funding to support their critical work is a welcomed acknowledgment of their importance

Fams issued a media release last week celebrating the good news, whilst also recognising the need for long-term funding that extends over several years, including targeted funding for ACCOs.

We will keep the sector informed as we find out more information around the details of the new funding.
