As of 15 November 2023, all the changes from the Family is Culture Bill became law.
The Family is Culture recommendations were designed to hold the government to account and build a child protection system that is more responsive to the needs of Aboriginal children, families and communities.
These new laws will introduce different ways of working for casework practitioners. DCJ is hosting an information session to explain these changes on Tuesday 28 November 2023.
