Our sector Engagement Officer, Lisa Smajlov, was inspired by conversations at the SSI Roundtable Summit last week.
The roundtable brought together key bodies, stakeholders and a range of organisations to discuss how to promote and embed the voices of children and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in the context of domestic and family violence.
The Hon Natalie Ward, Minister for Women’s Safety and the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence, Zoe Robinson, Advocate for Children and Young People, and Dr. Hannah Tonkin, Commissioner for Women’s Safety NSW joined the discussion.
The summmit’s findings will inform the Federal Government’s 10-Year National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children.
