The annual campaign ’16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence’ began last week on the 25th November and runs through until the 10th December.
Violence against women and girls remains the most pervasive human rights violation around the world. Already heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic, its prevalence is now being further increased by the intersecting crises of climate change, global conflict and economic instability.
In August, Fams attended the DVNSW launch of the NSW Women’s Alliance End Gendered Violence campaign. Fams has pledged our support by signing the Call to Action. If you would like to do the same, you can pledge here.
