This week Susan, our CEO headed out to the Far West to meet with services. Conversations were held with Mission Australia, Mallee Family Care and Coomealla Health Aboriginal Corporation on the challenges of working with children and families in a remote location.
Staff recruitment and retention, the extensive travel time required to provide support to families as well as cross border complexities were discussed. Fams will be highlighting these issues in our recommissioning advocacy.
