Mardi Gras celebrations have expanded across Sydney this February, with the main parade happening this weekend.
This year’s theme is Our Future, beckoning all to participate, influence, and champion LGBTQIA+ causes. It acknowledges the past but encourages us to envision what comes next.
Our Future ties in with the children and families that we work with, particularly those who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Children are such an important part of our communities, now and into the future.
Mardi Gras is an opportunity to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and serves as a reminder to ensure we have the skills and knowledge to work with rainbow families in a safe and connected way.
