Earlier this week, Fams observed the budget estimates. It was pleasing to hear Minister Washington’s comments on the need to increase funding for TEI and her commitment to ensuring Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) have increased access to the TEI funding.
Following the estimates, Fams constructed a letter to the Minister expressing our commitment to supporting ACCOs in their transition into TEI and requested involvement in government led discussions and workshops relevant to the process.
Fams will work with AbSec and our ACCO colleagues to support the whole sector through this change. We will tirelessly work to ensure that TEI is a high priority for the government.
