Fams continues to seek funding for smalltalk & Big Yarns

Our CEO, Susan and Lauren met with Therese Levins (pictured) and Anna Patty, Policy Advisors to The Hon. Prue Carr MP this week. We discussed our investment proposal to implement smalltalk and Big Yarns across NSW.

“Whilst it has been disappointing to hear that DCJ is unable to consider allocating resources to this low cost, high impact program until 2025 recommissioning, we will persistently seek opportunities for earlier funding,” said Susan.

“We hope to persuade our Government to share the modest investment of 1.5 million dollars required to fund the roll out across portfolios. This would be wonderful demonstration of collaboration to begin to make meaningful change in early childhood and child protection that centres on the needs of the child above all else”, she said.
