Fams attends LEAD Conference

Last week, our Sector Engagement Officer, Lisa, attended Day 1 of the ‘Hand in Hand, Make it Happen, Make it Matter’ LEAD Conference.

The day focused on current and emerging sector issues and trends and building practice capacity of Community Sector practitioners by empowering personal and professional growth.

There were many great speakers including Aboriginal Elders, state and local government leaders, sector leaders, pracademics and subject matter experts, leading researchers, and service providers!

Lisa’s highlights from the day were keynote speaker Lucy Bloom (pictured above), meeting Amar Singh from Turbans 4 Australia, the debate on best practice and Mary-Jo Mcvie’s workshop ‘Advocate, Enlighten and Inspire’.
