Fams CEO Susan Watson had the privilege of attending the NSW Child, Family and Community Peak Aboriginal Corporation (AbSec) Sector Forum this week, where she met with fellow Peak CEOs Steve Kinmond from ACWA and John Leha from AbSec.
AbSec hosted the forum in Haymarket, Sydney to discuss key sector issues.
The Truth Telling Panel set the scene for some challenging and informative conversations over the two days.
Held over the two days, the Sector Forum covered Aboriginal Lead Commissioning, Aboriginal Workforce Development, Indigenous Data Sovereignty, Closing the Gap, Self-Determination and what Nation Building can look like in the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector.
Alongside featured speakers, there were opportunities to raise questions, reflect, and reconnect with colleagues.
The Fams team enjoyed the opportunity to take part in this important forum and address a wide range of important sector issues.
