Fams Farewells Catherine White After Five Years

Fams Farewells Catherine White After Five Years

Fams Project Manager Catherine White is moving on after five years on the team.

We will miss the expertise, energy, and wisdom Catherine brings to the Fams table.

Since she joined us in 2017, Catherine has contributed greatly to Fams’ Sector Transformation Strategy and System and Organisational and Practice Capacity roadmaps. She has worked on the NGO Standards of Excellence tool and developed a range of emergency recovery and preparedness workshops and resources for the sector.

Catherine has been in the community services sector for over 30 years with a particular interest in domestic and family violence, child protection and homelessness. She is a passionate advocate for social justice, gender equality and the elimination of violence against women and children.

Catherine was recognised for her work with a Paul Harris Fellowship (2016). She was also a Finalist in the Rotary Inspirational Woman of the Year Awards (2013), Blacktown City Woman of the Year Awards (2012), a Pride of Australia Nominee (2012), and given the Chifley Outstanding Community Service Award (2011).

Catherine’s previous roles include Executive Officer at Women’s Activities and Self Help House Inc (WASH House) and Family Worker Training and Development Program as well as women’s refuges, health centres and community based child protection services.

We wish Catherine all the best in her future endeavours and thank her for all she’s achieved during her time with Fams.
