COVID-19 Aboriginal Community Response Grants Available Now

COVID-19 Aboriginal Community Response Grants Available Now

The COVID-19 Aboriginal Community Response Program has been extended, allowing for grants of up to $10,000 to eligible organisations.

The grants are available to meet the health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal people across NSW in response to the impact of COVID-19.

The program aims to:

  • Support activities that minimise the risk of transmission
  • Support the provision of trauma informed, culturally appropriate, wellbeing support for Aboriginal people impacted by COVID-19
  • Support Aboriginal people’s access to accurate and timely information regarding COVID-19 and its impacts.

The program closes at 5pm, Friday 29 April 2022.

The COVID Regional Community Support Program (CRCS) is another two-part program which offers both a Reimbursement Stream and Capacity Building Grants stream for organisations in remote, rural and regional NSW.

The Reimbursement Stream, which is now open, offers support for eligible organisations that incurred expenses in delivering food and personal care hampers to individuals and families affected by COVID lockdowns. It closes 1 March 2022.

The Capacity Stream, which opens 29 March 2022, builds capacity within organisations and communities to support ongoing community need during the pandemic.
