Final Telepractice Workshop for 2021

Final Telepractice Workshop for 2021

Fams is offering one final opportunity for the sector to participate in a Telepractice Workshop over Zoom next week.

Virtual service delivery – otherwise known as telepractice – has rapidly increased since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fams is shining the spotlight on this model and offering support to family workers as they navigate new ways of communicating with clients.

There is much that remains unknown regarding delivering family work using online technologies.

In response, Fams has partnered with Southern Cross University in the Telepractice in Family Work study.

Over the course of a year, we have developed a host of telepractice resources specifically for community services working with children, young people and families.

Through other work, Parenting Research Centre has also released telepractice resources which are freely available on their website.

So, rather than reinvent the wheel, Fams has put together an overview, a preparedness checklist, a resource guide and a self-evaluation form, to connect you to the best evidence-informed telepractice tools to support your work.

You can find all these resources and more on our Telepractice page.

* We are offering one last chance for family workers to engage in a free, two-hour Telepractice Workshop with Fams in 2021. In this online session, we’ll take you through the resources we have developed especially for the sector.

The Telepractice Workshop will be held from 9.30am to 11.30am on Wednesday 24 November.
