Family and Community Services Insights Analysis and Research (FACSIAR) has released two new FACSIAR Evidence to Action notes relevant to the sector.
These notes share findings and implications for policy and practice on a range of topics including: how to engage clients in commissioning and children involved with NSW child protection services before five years of age, along with actions we can take to improve outcomes in these areas.
- Engaging Clients in Commissioning of Government Services: Strategies for doing it well
- ‘Client engagement’, ‘client voice’ and ‘co-design’ are buzz words that we hear a lot across the sector. Getting clients involved in the commissioning of government services helps us to design programs that are better tailored to individual needs and aspirations. It tells us what’s already working well and what could be improved. But what exactly does it mean and how is it done? FACSIAR’s Evidence to Action note ‘Engaging Clients in Commissioning of Government Services: Strategies for doing it well’ outlines the best strategies for effective and authentic client engagement.
- Children involved with NSW child protection services before five years of age: What does the Seeding Success study tell us? – July 2021 – Evidence to Action Note
- This Evidence to Action note reports analysis from the Seeding Success study looking at the proportion of child involved with NSW child protection services before five years of age and discusses the implications for policy and programs – download the paper.
