The NSW Raise The Age Campaign is advocating for age of legal responsibility to be raised from 10 to at least 14, in line with the wide body of medical, psychological, and sociological evidence.
The Raise The Age partner network has developed a joint submission to the recent parliamentary inquiry and are seeking organisations to sign on.
With the recent changes in legislation to target knife crime and the bail law changes, it’s especially important that we act now to keep young people out of the criminal justice system.
Fams endorses the Raise The Age Campaign, and has signed onto the submission.
