Last week, Fams hosted a Ministerial roundtable with Minister Kate Washington to discuss service excellence, challenges, and innovative solutions for the early intervention and prevention sector.
We were joined by Gateway Family Services, CASPA Services, Home-Start National, and New England Family Support Service.
The main challenges identified included lack of funding, client complexities, resource shortages and lack of necessary support when working with CALD families.
The four services were also able to showcase the incredible work they do despite these challenges.
We all agreed it was a wonderful opportunity to have in depth conversations, make new connections and share stories.
We thank the Minister for giving us her time, and the organisations for travelling from all across NSW.
