Advocacy in Action: Keeping Early Intervention Front and Centre

Advocacy in Action: Keeping Early Intervention Front and Centre

It’s been a massive fortnight of advocacy and we’re making sure our sector’s stays front and centre. Here’s what we’ve been focusing on:

  • Parliament House briefing: We hosted a briefing for MPs on our economic analysis developed with Lumenia. Our simple, but powerful evidence-based message spoke to how investing early is one of the smartest moves NSW can make for families and for the budget. The room was engaged and follow up meetings are already in motion.

  • Meeting with all of the Independents in the Legislative Assembly: We took an important step in building broad, multi-partisan support by meeting with the Independents in the Legislative Assembly. We’re pleased to say the response has been encouraging and we look forward to sharing more with you on this meeting soon.
  • Thriving Kids and Meeting with the Minister: We met with Minister Kate Washington to continue our advocacy for increased investment and discuss our sector’s role in the delivery of Thriving Kids.
  • Inquiry into Government service delivery standards in regional NSW: In response to our submission, we are set to appear before the Inquiry and share our sector’s experience and insights. Watch this space for further update.

Fams is working hard to bridge the gap between frontline realities and policy decisions. As we move toward the 2026-27 Budget and the 2027 Election, we’ll keep spotlighting the impact of our sector and the outcomes you deliver every day.
