From October 2026, Thriving Kids will begin rolling out across NSW, introducing new early intervention supports for children aged eight and under with developmental delay and/or autism, and their families, carers and kin.
As NSW prepares for implementation, the Department of Communities and Justice is developing a Sector and Workforce Development Plan. Our colleagues at NCOSS are leading consultation to understand what services and the workforce will need for Thriving Kids to work well in communities.
For the child and family sector, this is an important opportunity for our sector to bring frontline experience into the planning process.
The 15-minute survey is open until 25 September and should be completed once per organisation by a senior leader or their delegate. Five online roundtables will also be held in October, including a dedicated Child & Family roundtable on 7 October.
If your organisation works with young children and families, we encourage you to share what your workforce and services will need as Thriving Kids rolls out across NSW.
