Supporting Your Team Through Change: A Joint Session for Family Preservation Services

We know change can be challenging, but it’s also an opportunity to come together, share knowledge, and support each other.

Earlier today, Fams partnered with ACWA and the ASU to host a joint session for Family Preservation providers. The session provided best practice guidance on how to communicate and consult with teams while we await the outcome of the current procurement process.

As our sector adapts, it’s more important than ever to back the workforce and ensure families continue to receive the support they need.

Key priorities raised during the session included:

  • A timely announcement of procurement outcomes
  • Clear communication from DCJ about expectations for service delivery during the interim
  • Guidance on the transfer or re-referral of families between providers
  • Ensuring Child and Family CSCs are informed and ready for the transition

Fams will continue to work closely with our partner peaks to advocate for clarity, transparency and support.
