What time should I arrive?
Registration opens at 8:30am, with the conference starting promptly at 9:00am. Please allow time to check in and grab a coffee!
🍽️ What about catering and dietary needs?
Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea are included. You can nominate dietary requirements during registration including allergy, cultural, and faith-based needs. If your requirement isn’t listed, email: [email protected].
As we are only 7 days out from the event, Fams may not be able to guarantee that we can meet your dietary requirements if we have not been told already.
🚆 How do I get there?
The venue is easily accessible:
- Train: Central Station, short walk
- Light Rail: L2 or L3 to Haymarket
- Bus: Routes 303, 343, 440, 501
Limited metered parking is available nearby, and the Interpark UTS Car Park is close by.
♿ Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The Aerial Function Centre has lifts, ramps, accessible bathrooms, and a hearing induction loop. A quiet space will be available for those needing a moment of calm.

🧾What’s on the program?
Expect bold ideas, brilliant speakers, and practical workshops. Keynotes include:
- Professor Daryl Higgins on evidence and hope in child protection
- Mary Jo McVeigh on dignity, change, and the metaphor of Pandora’s Jar
Workshop themes range from cultural safety and play-based practice to mental health, AOD, and child-centred responses to family violence. Workshop registration has now closed, and participants will be assigned their workshops based on availability.

🗣️Are drinks and networking included?
Post-conference drinks and networking are included in your ticket. Join us immediately after the final session to connect with colleagues across the sector.
🎟️Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes, tickets are transferable within your organisation. Please email [email protected] with the new attendee’s details before 23 September 2025.
📸Will photos or videos be taken?
Yes. Fams will have a photographer capturing moments throughout the day. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let staff know at registration.
