Following the release of the draft Family Preservation Program Specifications, Fams convened a debrief and discussion session with the Family Preservation Network on 26 March 2025.
Seventy sector representatives identified the absence of critical details, limited engagement opportunities and implications for practice as their core concerns.
As we near closer to the procurement process, here are some key things to remember:
- System Redesign and Draft Specifications
Information on the specifications and redesign of Family Preservation is available on DCJ’s website: - Funding and Procurement Approaches
Approaches are not yet finalised. You must register via Procurement Central and Buy NSW for procurement. Signing up for the mailing list is the best way to stay updated.
As Family Preservation recommissioning progresses, Fams will continue to advocate for, connect, and inform services – ensuring our sector remains strong in its vital work of keeping children safe, supporting families, and building supportive communities.
