We were invited to attend and play an active role in Third Sector’s 7th National Child Protection Forum.
The forum’s mission was clear and powerful:
- To optimise preventative and early intervention strategies to more effectively support children at risk
- To enhance outcomes for children via robust collaborative partnerships across various sectors and with First Nations communities
- Highlight trauma-informed support services, with the spotlight firmly on the wellbeing of children, families, and caregivers
- To ensure children’s voices are not just heard, but actively included in the decision-making process
Our CEO, Susan, had the privilege of chairing one of the streams at the event and sharing her insights on improving child protection outcomes through the use of data and impact measurement.
Drawing from our impactful Amplify Our Sector project, Susan demonstrated how we can shift from a compliance-driven culture to one that’s driven by curiosity regarding our data.
In her words, “It was truly rewarding to highlight the extraordinary efforts of the NSW early intervention and prevention NGO sector at a national platform. Fams has indeed sparked a conversation about the power of outcomes storytelling.”
